Gentrification in Harlem
How do you feel about the gentrification/changes occurring in Harlem?
"I feel, to me, a lot of new comers are moving in...the rent is too high. I feel the blacks are not being treated like whites that are moving in. I feel the mortgages are offering higher surcharges for blacks."
Has any of the gentrification occurring in Harlem affected you directly or indirectly, and ifso, is it negative or positive?
"It (gentrification) has affected me directly because surcharges has increased. I also feel it has affected others in my co-op."
