Gentrification in Harlem
How do you feel about the gentrification/changes occurring in Harlem?
"Black politicians support the changes in Harlem by real estate developers. The major church in Harlem Pastor began a program initially for low income (first time home owners) and now he sold out and giving preference to Whites/Europeans. I am very angry about this situation."
Has any of the gentrification occurring in Harlem affected you directly or indirectly, and if so, is it negative or positive?
"I could not take it any more. Now that whites are in Harlem, you cannot hang on the streets. The Police harass and target black people to get them out f Harlem, period. In next 10 years Harlem [sic] all white."
