Gentrification in Harlem
How do you feel about the gentrification/changes occurring in Harlem?
"Change is good but not for the reasons that is supposed to help black people. I feel pissed! There has always been a lot of merchants in Harlem but the new businesses are not owned by blacks. There is still a handful."
Has any of the gentrification occurring in Harlem affected you directly or indirectly, and ifso, is it negative or positive?
"So far it has not affected me directly but it will. I fear my rent will go up and I won't be able to live in Harlem anymore."
