Gentrification in Harlem
How do you feel about the gentrification/changes occurring in Harlem?
"Gentrification in Harlem is an unfortunate occurrence that has taken over at a rapid rate. Though the corporate revenue and foreign dollar may benefit the community; the expansion of big business and the expulsion of small (mom+pop) businesses is the saddest part of gentrification in my opinion--that and the eviction of the poor."
Has any of the gentrification occurring in Harlem affected you directly or indirectly, and ifso, is it negative or positive?
"It's just affected me emotionally. I feel really moved by the change and Harlem is changing."
