Gentrification in Harlem
How do you feel about the gentrification/changes occurring in Harlem?
"I feel it"s (gentrification) opportunities we can jump on. Putting more work on black people to stay here. It's harder for us to stay here. Know what I mean?"
Has any of the gentrification occurring in Harlem affected you directly or indirectly, and ifso, is it negative or positive?
"(gentrification) Has good and bad...brings diverse opportunities...brings more money to Harlem--new businesses start. Bad. More money into Harlem making it harder for us to stay. A real black man is not going to allow them (whites) to kick us no where!"
