Gentrification in Harlem
How do you feel about the gentrification/changes occurring in Harlem?
"Wow! I been traveling for the last twenty years; it is going to happen. If (black) people don't want it to happen, it is not going to happen. If people don't do anything about it, it is going to happen. When Robert Moses sought to put a freeway through Manhattan, the People protested. This has to happen in Harlem like in the sixties."
Has any of the gentrification occurring in Harlem affected you directly or indirectly, and ifso, is it negative or positive?
"If black people could afford it, gentrification would not be a problem. The "gentrification" is giving me business because I am into landscaping and I am a handyman."
